MODEL- RF5406-633 VENDOR- SOCKET

FEATURES- CF RFID Reader-Scan Card 6P (with Class 2 Laser)- 20 pack
Add plug-in RFID capabilities to Pocket PC applications!
Both bar code labels and RFID tags are being used or deployed for
many vertical applications, and both technologies will co-exist in
the market for some time to come. Now add both bar code scanning
and high frequency RFID read/write capabilities to your Pocket PC-
based mobile data collection application with Sockets CompactFlash
RFID Reader-Scan Card. This unique dual-function product scans all
common linear bar codes and reads and writes to all ISO 15693 and
many proprietary 13.56Mhz RFID tags.
Like all Sockets bar code scanning products, the CF RFID Reader-Scan
Card is supported by SocketScan keyboard wedge software which sends
either the decoded barcode data or the RFID tag ID to any Windows
application as virtual keystrokes -- No custom programming needed!
A small additional application allows reading and writing to the
accessible tag memory blocks. An SDK is available for developers
who wish to embed control of the barcode scanning and RFID
read/write functionality into their applications.
As with all of our products, Socket designed the Mobility Friendly
CF RFID Reader to use minimal power. Drawing only 11mA (36mW) in
idle mode, the CF RFID Reader will operate for hours without having
to recharge the batteries in your Pocket PC.
* Integrated Type II CF card plugs into the Type II CompactFlash slot of
Windows Mobile Pocket PC2003 devices.
* High Frequency -- 13.56MHz Reader/Writer
* Read range -- Maximum 2.5 inches (6.35cm) -- Varies with size of tag
antenna.
* LED indicates read or write activity
* Reads all data from the most popular HF ISO 15693 tags, including: ICode
SLI/SL2, LRI512, my-d and Tag-It HF-I.
* Reads all data from ICode 1, Tag-It HF and PicoTag proprietary HF tags.
* Reads multiple tags simultaneously in Loop Mode.
* Supported by an RFID version of the SocketScan and SDK that supports all
Socket bar code scanner products.
* Individual buttons can be assigned to each functionality
* Sockets SocketScan software sends decoded barcode data or tag ID code to
any Windows application as virtual keystrokes.
* SocketScan enables the creation of prefixes and suffixes, such as Tab or
Carriage Return, to further eliminate key strokes in the data collection
process.
* SocketScan enables the assignment of a beep tone to signify a successful
read.
* This Battery Friendly solution draws only a few milliamps of current in
standby mode, extending the battery life of your Pocket PC.
* No extra batteries or special power adapter required. The RFID Reader
Card gets power from the host Pocket PC.
* Works with Windows-based development tools so you can easily create
custom applications.
