Port Authority, by Cables To Go, allows you to easily add three 400Mbps 1394 ports to your PC or Apple® desktop computer. The Port Authority FireWire PCI Controller is a 32-bit card with three 400Mbps 1394 ports. Each port handles up to 400Mbps which are fully hot-swappable and daisy-chainable up to 63 devices. Supported under Windows® (98 SE/ME/2000/XP) and Mac® OS X /9.0.4 and higher, the Port Authority FireWire PCI Card enables your computer to take advantage of today's high-speed FireWire devices, such as DV cameras/camcorders, hard disks, scanners, set-top boxes and other high-tech appliances.
