This rate converter features one 10/100 auto-sensing UTP port that adjusts its speed to the speed of the attached device. In addition, the FlexPoint 10/100 automatically negotiates and provides full-duplex or half-duplex capability to maximize network bandwidth. These features allow a seamless migration path to newer technologies. An override switch provides total manual control over the 10/100 operation of the UTP port and the half/full duplex operation of both the fiber and UTP port. The fiber port operates at 1300 nm and features SC connectors. Single-mode fiber models support distances of up to 28km. Features: The FlexPoint 10/100 is a Fast Ethernet fiber to 10BASE-T or 100BASE-TX twisted pair rate converter. The UTP port supports 10/100 and half/full duplex auto-sensing. The fiber port supports half or full duplex, multimode (MM) or single-mode (SM) fiber, SC connectors, and supports distances up to 110km. Supports 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX, 100BASE-FX and IEEE 802.3 specifications. Features a crossover switch for easy connection to hubs or switches. Over 1K MAC address table entries available.
