Plasmon's magneto optical media combines high-storage capacities with fast random access and an erasable capability. The media also offers optimum functional reliability, data integrity, robustness, durability and hardware compatibility. Plasmon badged media contains the phrase "Jukebox Certified" which implies that this media meets Plasmon's targets for media and cartridge life expectancies, particularly in an automated operating environment.

The 5.25 inch MO media is impervious to the contaminants of the outside world, making it virtually indestructible. It is encased in a durable enclosure that protects it from dirt and scratches, eliminating the need for cleaning.
