The Symmetra “Tune-UPS” program is designed to provide end-users the ability to refresh their existing APC Symmetra UPS systems (Single Phase Tower Models only) to a “like-new” condition, when their factory warranty has expired, without having to replace their UPS system. Over time, several parts in the uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) systems age and wear out e.g. batteries, electro-mechanical components like fans and other components like electrolytic capacitors etc. This can lead to loss of runtime, loss of redundancy, loss of power capacity, or in worst cases a dropped load. The entire refresh process is completed in less then an hour by an APC trained and authorized engineer who replaces all modules (Power, Battery and Intelligence), with new modules, having the latest firmware and product improvements, replaces system (frame) fan, Web/SNMP card, torques all connections and does a thorough inspection of the site. The two-year factory warranty is re-instated upon satisfactory completion of refresh.
