For long-range applications, the AirStation Pro needs to be connected to the outdoor antenna. The Pigtail adapter allows the user to use one as an off-the-shelf antenna. The Pigtail adapter must be installed into the AirStation Pro body and the installation to the body is the same as the external antenna installation. The Pigtail has an N-type connector on one end and an MMCX connector on the other end.

The AirStation Pro is easily taken apart for Pigtail connection by removing two screws on the bottom of the AirStation Pro.
