The 4-port AccelePort® Xp, an asynchronous PCI adapter card, was designed to further enhance multi-user (retail point-of-sale, industrial control processing, data collection and office automation) and Remote Access Service (RAS) implementations.

Supporting speeds of 921.6Kbps bi-directionally, the AccelePort Xp provides a four port interface that deliver all the speed you need for today’s demands for bandwidth. This allows each port to take full advantage of the high transmission speeds that are possible with V.34, 56Kbps and V.90 modems, ISDN terminal adapters and video equipment. Digi achieves its high performance by combining an on-board 80MHz RISC-based processor with a proprietary ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Processor). The combination minimizes CPU utilization by handling serial I/O communication interrupts, character processing and data transfers more efficiently. As a result, applications run faster. Hardware/software flow control ensures absolute data integrity required for demanding remote access environments.

IMPORTANT! The AccelePort Xp family uses different connector assemblies from those used with other AccelePort adapters (Xr, Xe, C/X, Xem, etc.). When ordering, be sure to use the part number that corresponds to your AccelePort adapter type.
