The AccelePort Xem asynchronous concentrator is an expandable, modular and intelligent serial communication solution designed specifically for small to mid-size multiuser installations. It is especially well-suited to applications that are expected to start small and grow over time, to as many as 64 ports.

This flexible system lets you connect up to 64 high-speed EIA-232 serial ports to a PCI- or ISA-based system. The result is a fast, reliable way to connect terminals, printers, modems, instruments and other serial peripherals, making it ideally suited to applications such as data acquisition, office/factory automation, and industrial process control.

The AccelePort Xem system also includes a compact Digi PORTS Module that provides access to 16 serial ports.
