The Edgeport™ 421 is an intelligent, stackable expansion module that connects to a PC or server via the Universal Serial Bus (USB) port, providing four USB ports, two RS232 DB9 serial ports and one DB25 Parallel port. The Edgeport features easy connectivity for modems, printers, point-of-sale and industrial control devices which utilize any of these interfaces.

The USB architecture is designed to deliver an industry standard for PC connectivity today. The PC industry is moving rapidly towards a "locked-box" approach to computer design, which means you never have to remove the cover from your computer to add a peripheral device.
